Three photos of three different waters from three different years and 2–3 different countries.
The first one above is of the Baltic Sea taking in 2003. I was on a sailing vacation with a friend’s family who owned the ship. I think we were mostly in Swedish waters, depending on how far out Swedish waters go, but we visited Bornholm on the trip too, which is part of Denmark. So those waters could belong to Denmark.
Second photo was taking in Boston, USA, in 2017. I was out canoeing with a friend. I had a great time and thought a factory looked pretty for once.
Third photo is from a middle-of-the-week vacation I took in 2015 a little ways outside Stockholm. I wanted to be a bit pampered and to take in some nature. And some nature I found! Really great. Back in April, I shared a photo of a tree from the same vacation.

Sometimes I just want to look at something pretty, so that is what I’m sharing this time.

This photo is from January, 2014. I taking a walk with a friend in Nyckelviken, Nacka (suburb to Stockholm, at least that is what I would call it). I had a good time and had a great picture from it.

Christmas, or winter leading into the holiday season, is one of my favorite times of the year. I love Christmas music. I love how I take the time to slow down. I love baking holiday treats. I love lighting candles and all the holiday/winter/Christmas lamps/fairy lights that show up in windows and that I set up around my own home (when I have a home).
Each advent Sunday, I light another candle in my advent candle holder (see picture above). I’ll usually have a fika at the same time, which will usually be a glass of glögg (mulled wine) or tea and some gingerbread cookies.
If I have my advent pause with breakfast, well then, just look at the picture of the kind of breakfast I’d make myself on such a morning. One of the few food pictures I’ll ever share, haha.

Fall is upon us and here is a pretty fall colored bush against a very black night. Photo taken in 2016, in Insjön, Sweden.

This photo is quintessential Sweden. Sweden have many, many lakes, and forest is also very plentiful. This is from a nature preserve close to my childhood home.
A beautiful place where I can always find calm.
This was taken on a walk in May, 2017.

In 2010, I told my dad I wanted an experience as a present for my birthday. Maybe bungee jumping or skydiving, something crazy but kinda safe (right…?). My dad in his wisdom thought I should start smaller and I received a rooftop walk as a present instead.
It was amazing. The views of the city I’d grown up in were beautiful. In fact they were so beautiful I have several pictures below from that walk.

A beautiful tree I almost walked past without photographing one morning in February 2014. But right when I was going to dismiss the thought of capturing a picture saying to myself that I could take one later, I realized there probably wouldn’t be a later.
Carpe diem! Or seize the picture!
